Community - Connection - Sustainability
At Twenty Six, family and community have always guided our philosophy. One of the most fundamental aspects of Twenty Six is our connection with customers.
We are committed to building a strong community and you will always find individualised attention at our doorstep. Listening to the needs of our customers and connecting with them on a daily basis inspires our store, and the products and brands we choose to work with.
What can you expect to find in Twenty Six?
We are a small and busy independent homeware business. We love to support local, independent artisans and artists. Twenty Six has a green heart, and this commitment to sustainability only strengthened during Margaret’s time as the Distributor for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint over the last ten years.
Our hope is to curate a store that challenges the modern norm of high street mass production. We want to excite you and inspire you to love your home. Driven by a life-long interest in antiques and art, you will find an eclectic mix of period pieces and upcycled furniture, hand painted in-house. And for those looking for those unique pieces that are hard to find, or those wanting gifts that bring a guaranteed smile tp your face - we will always do our best to help you.
We want to help you find those special pieces that make your home feel like you.
My name is Margaret Corscadden, owner if Twenty Six Ltd. We have been in business since 2009, but our story really began in 1952.
I grew up in this building at 26 Kenyon Street. It was my family home and our family’s livelihood. It started out as a hardware store, ran by my mother and father - Kathleen and Mick Heffernan. My earliest memories are in this store, like riding through the shop on my tricycle while my mother worked behind the counter.
I have always been interested in the synchronicities of life. The kinds of coincidences that are too opportune to ignore, or put down to chance. It seems that my journey has brought me back to my beginning, my home, through Twenty Six.
We feel your home should reflect your personality. And we are always happy to help you figure out what style suits you and your lifestyle best.
We have a keen eye for spotting unique home decor pieces. Our store is filled to the brim with thoughtfully selected homeware, soft furnishings, fashion accessories and (new + old) furniture.
We are committed to supporting Irish artisans and you can always expect to find some local goodies in store. Similarly, we are committed to promoting sustainable and ethical products, and we do our best to work with brands that have similar values and an eco-friendly heart.
